Mark Cuban took to Twitter on Friday to provide an update on Delonte West's road to recovery. The Dallas Mavericks owner shared a photo of the ex-NBA player smiling while horseback riding and shared his progress since entering rehab at the end of September.
"Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you, Delonte West," Cuban wrote. "A long, long, long way to go, but he has taken the first steps and shared these with all of us as a thank you for the love and support."
After photos of 37-year-old West panhandling on the street went viral, Cuban personally picked up West and helped him get into rehab with the assistance of West's mother.
Sources close to West said he entered the detox phase of his recovery earlier this week and was "roughing it out" while getting the drugs and alcohol out of his system.
