According to reports, Pretty Ricky's Baby Blue is in serious legal trouble after being charged for his alleged role in a COVID-19 relief scheme. Diamond Blue Smith, 36, was arrested on Monday with 28-year-old Tonye C. Johnson of Pennsylvania for their roles in a $24 million COVID-19 relief fraud scheme. The pair is facing charges of wire fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud.
Baby Blue allegedly bought a new Ferrari with money swindled through the Paycheck Protection Program loan worth nearly $427,000 dollars. He did the same with another loan to the tune of $1 million. The FBI has since determined that Smith was part of a larger operation that convinced many others to file for the loans while taking kickbacks. In total, the FBI has charged 11 people in connection with the scheme.
