Chaka Khan described the making of Rufus' breakthrough hit, "Tell Me Something Good." The legendary singer explained that she co-wrote the song with Stevie Wonder but she was so overwhelmed by working him that she didn't think to take any credit for the song. Chaka Khan also claimed that people thought a man was singing when they first heard her sing.

After talking about winning a Grammy for the song, she described what it was like going through a divorce around that time. Chaka Khan also stated that it was "impossible" to give her daughter a normal upbringing due to her profession before addressing the racism that her and Rufus band would encounter while touring southern and midwestern territories.
