Ruff Ryder’s first lady turned pop star/TV host has found herself in some interesting spaces throughout her career. Eve has received acclaim and accolades for her music, and went on to get the same accolades as she transitioned into TV, as she was nominated for an Emmy for a talk show she hosted. Eve has noted her journey through her career and life hasn’t been easy, as she recently revealed some details about her marriage to her husband, British designer Maximillion Cooper.

Eve has never been shy about speaking on the subject of Cooper being white and their dynamic as a result of race, and now Eve has taken it a step further by being candid about their relationship during times of civil unrest across the world. While on TVOne’s ‘Uncensored,’ Eve said she has “beautiful and honest” convos with her husband his four children. She went on to say “I don’t think about our race. I don’t. When we first got together, yeah, of course. I had never been with a white guy seriously like that. So yeah, I definitely thought about it. But we are so honest with each other that we have discussions, and that’s a beautiful thing.” Since then, talk show host has received backlash for her comments. Watch above.
