A 21-year-old Utah man was recently arrested on child sex charges after allegedly filming himself molesting a 4-year-old boy during funeral services at a Mormon church. Thomas Michael Wallin was arrested and booked at the Salt Lake County Jail on Tuesday on a number of felony charges. According to local reports, Wallin faces three counts of felony sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony.
Authorities received a report about Wallin producing and distributing child pornography. After being placed in police custody, Wallin admitted to the crime, which took place in December 2019. According to an arrest affidavit, “Wallin has an extensive juvenile history of engaging in sexual contact with minors,” and "is believed to be a danger to children and has admitted to speaking with another associate regarding kidnapping and rape of a child.”
