Kanye West Says Jay-Z Won't Get His Masters Back for Ten Years

Previously, Kanye West took to Twitter to pee on his Grammy award during a rant about music ownership. The rapper tweeted images of various contracts he signed with Universal Music, and also spoke on the treatment of Black people in the music industry. West claims that Universal Music Group didn’t give him a chance to buy his masters back. Now, West has thrown another prominent artist in the mix—alleging that Jay-Z won’t own his masters for another ten years.

Kanye West took to Twitter and posted a screenshot of DJ Akademiks' page with a photo that said, “Jay-Z allegedly sold Kanye’s masters to get his own masters back. From there, West addressed the photo and said, “Don’t let the system pit us against each other ... JAY IS MY BROTHER ... I have eternal love for all artist that have been through and are still trapped this crooked system. Jay still doesn’t get his own masters back for ten years. I will see to it that we all get our masters.” Take a look above.
