According to reports, Elon Musk gave insight into Neuralink company and its plan to link the human brain to computers. Musk’s presentation this past Friday night found him showing off the second version of a robotic device that would be inserted into the brain and would “show neurons firing in real-time,” describing it as “the matrix in the matrix.”
During the event, Musk used a few pigs to demonstrate various prototypes of the neural links which were implanted in the animals’ heads. Musk and his team had hardware and software that was tracking the brain activity of the pigs in real-time. During the Friday event, Musk said that Neuralink technology could help treat conditions like depression, brain damage, paralysis, seizures, and more, saying, “These can all be solved with an implantable neural link. The neurons are like wiring, and you kind of need an electronic thing to solve an electronic problem.” Watch above.
