Previously, it was revealed that producer No I.D. sold his entire music catalog, which included hits with Drake, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Common, and more. The producer’s catalog consisted of 273 songs. Now, news surfaced, noting RZA has followed the same path and struck a deal with the same company No I.D. sold his catalog too.

The Wu-Tang producer and rapper’s deal with Hipgnosis finds him selling half of his 814-song catalog, which consists of portions of the Wu-Tang Clan’s discography, production for members of Wu-Tang Clan, as well as his solo projects. As a result, Hipgnosis owns “worldwide copyright, including publishing and writer share” for half of RZA’s catalog.

RZA spoke on the move, saying, “I wear various hats in my artistic expressions, but the one that has been so deeply reflective of my life’s journey is my songwriting. I’m honored to partner up with Merck and the Hipgnosis team to usher my songs into an exciting future.”
