According to reports, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office stated that it is reviewing a potential felony assault charge against Tory Lanez in connection with the Megan Thee Stallion shooting. Prosecutors have reportedly reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department to further investigate the incident. On Wednesday, D.A. spokesman Ricardo Santiago told reporters the investigation is for “felony assault with a semi-automatic firearm — personal use of a firearm: to the office and on July 24 prosecutors asked law enforcement for further investigation before making a filing decision.”

Meanwhile, Megan continues to try to provide proof that she was victimized in this situation. The Texan took to social media where she posted and later deleted a photo of her ankle where she suffered the gunshot wound on July 12. According to a source close to the situation, the gun was fired recklessly and fragments/shrapnel from the bullet likely struck the rapper as opposed to intentionally shooting her.
