Previously, it was revealed that Talib Kweli’s Twitter account was no longer active after an alleged incident involving a Twitter user named Maya Moody, who Kweli allegedly harassed for weeks after she responded to a list of Black rappers who married Black women. Since then, it was noted Kweli was permanently banned from Twitter for “repeated violations.” Now, Kweli has taken to Instagram to voice his thoughts on Moody.
Talib Kweli went to IG to call out the woman for creating a GoFundMe in what he says is an attempt to profit off of his family. Via his caption on Instagram, Kweli said, “Y'all been had by a grifter. Help me jumpstart my life? Is she not an adult? This woman has slandered my name and attacked my family for a profit. Do y'all homework and stop supporting people who are trying to profit off trying to silence unapologetic black men.” Take a look above.
