A family of a deceased woman is now suing an LAPD officer after he allegedly fondled the dead woman’s breast.

In the lawsuit filed by the family of Elizabeth Baggett, Officer David Roja was accused of fondling Baggett’s breast along with “feeling her nipples without limitation.” From there, Rojas allegedly showed the body camera footage to other people. Rojas allegedly touched the dead woman’s breast while he was in the room alone with her after he and another officer responded to the home where she died. The cop allegedly disabled his body camera, but the camera caught the incident after he turned it back on because they have a two-minute buffering period that captures everything happening before being activated.

The woman’s mother—Janet Baggett, spoke on the lawsuit during a press conference, saying, “I am infuriated that this man had so little respect for another human being, our Elizabeth. I personally wake in sweats from the nightmares that haunt me about the events of Elizabeth's death.” In the suit, the family is going after Rojas for mishandling of human remains, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and more.
