The City Girls joined The Breakfast Club to talk about their new album and their overall industry grind. Since the release of Cardi B and Meagan Thee Stallion's "WAP," the lyrical content of today's female rapper has become a hot topic. When asked why males are being so critical of female rappers, the duo's response was that male artists are simply intimidated.

"Men is just threatened by the women dominating right now because they are used to being in control of putting women on records, and now women are starting to team up and do it without them," JT responded. "Now they got so much to say because back then you had to get on a hot song with a man to go number one or even chart, but now women are doing it themselves."

"I say shut the f*** up, period," Yung Miami said in response to how she responds to criticism coming from men. "Like just shut up. They’ve been talking about this for years for decades, so why is this a problem now?”

This past June, the City Girls released their third album, City on Lock.
