Update 08/11/2020 12:48pm:

Previously, Damian Lillard and Skip Bayless had words via Twitter, with Lillard calling Bayless out comments made about the basketball player. Since then, Damian Lillard made an appearance on Carmelo Anthony's 'What's In Your Glass' podcast and addressed the issues related to Skip.

Lillard made it clear that Skip Bayless sought out his number to speak to him. Lillard said, “When he called me, I was like ‘Bruh I don’t know you like that. You don’t owe me no explanation, I don’t know you, stop speaking on me incorrectly for your ratings.’” From there, Lillard said Skip started backing out on his statement, saying Skip told him, “I’m depressed.” Lillard noted he could have gone in even more on their conversation, but that would make the TV personality look bad to the public. Skip Bayless is known for his off-kilter comments made about NBA superstars, with his last statement being directed at Scottie Pippen earlier this year, saying Pippen was “more of a follower than a leader.” Now, Bayless has taken to social media to say he isn’t buying “Dame time,” which is directed at Portland Blazers players Damian Lillard. Since then, Lillard has fired back.

Bayless voiced his thoughts via Twitter while promoting his upcoming show on FS1. Lillard saw the tweet and responded to Bayless’ tweet, calling him out for behavior that contradicts things that were said to him on a phone call they had.

Lillard said, “I have never been buying nothing about you fam. You a joke. And after our private convo full of backpedaling, you will never have my respect 🤡.” Take a look above.
