Azealia Banks provided an update to her fans on Instagram, starting with a post and caption that read, "I'm fine, better than I was before." She followed up with additional posts calling out the media outlets for covering her potential suicide, but not her general career.

"Big LOL to all the outlets reaching out for a story grab disguised as genuine concern," wrote Banks in one of her posts. "Same outlets who routinely exclude me from the 'protect black women' narratives. Go write your think pieces and email me when you're ready to support me on a regular day when I'm doing well and releasing new music."

The rapper, singer, and actress also added that she should be supported when she's up and not only when she's down.

Azealia Banks was recently in the news after video footage of her shaving all of her hair off went viral. The rapper said the move was made to get rid of “stress and break up energy.” Now, the rapper has taken to social media to post thoughts that many feel are alluding to her ending her own life.

Via her IG stories, Banks said, “Yea, I think I’m done here. This pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with the constant public ridicule is making life harder than its worth. I think I will end my tenure here on earth soon.”

Banks continued in another post, saying, “I’m just ready to go. Peacefully of course. I will document my last times and release a film for you all to finally understand me, From my perspective.” She noted that she wasn’t looking for any sympathy and also said she is “not begging for attention.” Banks concluded by saying, “I will try my best to finish the projects I promised I would beforehand.” Take a look above.
