According to the Washington Post, a Pennsylvania man was recently arrested after firing an AK-47 at local police following a dispute over a cigar shop's mask policy. Adam Zaborowski, 35, was told that he had to wear a mask as part of Pennsylvania's July 1 mandate which requires a mask in public places.

Zaborowski immediately became hostile with the store clerk who tried compromising with the enraged man by offering curbside service. Zaborowski refused and snatched two cigars before leaving without paying. When the store clerk confronted Zaborowski in the parking lot about the stolen cigars, the 35-year-old pulled out a handgun and let off a single round in the air before firing two shots at the store clerk.

The next day when police arrived at Zaborowski's residence to arrest him for the events of the previous day, he reportedly hopped in his truck in an attempt to evade officers. After being stopped near his home, Zaborowski exited his truck armed with an AK-47 which he began firing at the officers. Zaborowski was struck in the buttocks and leg during the exchange. He is now facing 22 charges including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and robbery. Zaborowski's bail was set for $1 million.
