Bloomberg reported on Monday that Bezos increased his net worth by $13 billion (a record according to the publication) in a single day following an 8% spike in Amazon stock. The majority of Bezos's wealth is tied to his 57 million Amazon shares, which were selling at $3,232.49 per share on Tuesday.
Bezos now finds himself coasting toward the $200 billion threshold, which he likely would've passed had it not been for that $40 billion divorce settlement with ex-wife McKenzie Bezos. Bloomberg also noted that Bezos has added a total of $74 billion to his net worth since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
