Iconic comedian and radio show host Rickey Smiley revealed that his youngest daughter Aaryn Smiley was hospitalized over the 4th of July weekend after being shot.
The young woman was reportedly getting food from a Whataburger in Houston, Texas, when she was shot three times. Smiley revealed the news while on his radio show, noting that the shocking news was why he couldn’t focus. Smiley mentioned the story after he and his co-hosts spoke about the shooting of an 8-year-old boy in Birmingham, Alabama. The comedian said, “I get the luxury of going to the hospital, even if they don't let me upstairs to see her, waiting in the lobby. Think about all the parents that got to go pick out a casket this morning."
