Adult film star Ron Jeremy appeared in court on Friday where he pleaded not guilty to several federal sex crimes. Jeremy was charged on Tuesday with eight counts of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation, and sexual battery and remains in custody after having his bail set at $6.6 million.
Jeremy's attorney said during Friday's court proceedings that his client has “never, in his life, had sex with a female through force or duress,” but that conflicts with the 25 complaints authorities have received since Jeremy's charges went public earlier this week. A message from Jeremy's official Twitter account was posted on Tuesday and said, "I am innocent of all charges. I can’t wait to prove my innocence in court! Thank you to everyone for all the support."
Jeremy is scheduled to appear back in court on Aug. 31.

Legendary adult film star Ron Jeremy has been charged with four counts of sexual assault stemming from alleged encounters with four different women. Prosecutors announced on Tuesday that Jeremy, full name Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, was charged with forcible rape, forcible oral copulation, and sexual battery. More specifically, the pornstar faces three counts of forcible rape, two counts of sexual penetration by force, two counts of sexual battery and one count of forcible oral copulation.
According to the LA Times, "Jeremy attacked a 25-year-old woman at a West Hollywood home in 2014. Prosecutors also accused Jeremy of sexually assaulting two women at a West Hollywood bar in 2017 and raping a woman at the same bar in July 2019." If convicted as charged, Jeremy faces a potential 90-year prison bid.
An adult film performer told reporters on Tuesday, “It’s just like Harvey Weinstein,” adding, “Because he’s this legend, he’s Ron Jeremy, people will excuse his behavior.”
