Update 06/18/2020 4:40pm:

Terry Crews sat down for a discussion on The Talk, where he addressed his recent "Black supremacy" tweet, which Godfrey blasted. He told the hosts, "What I said was, defeating white supremacy without white people could create Black supremacy,” adding that "in Black America, we have gatekeepers."

He went on to say, "We have people who have decided who is going to be Black and who’s not. And I simply — because I have a mixed-race wife (Rebecca King-Crews) — have been discounted from the conversation a lot of the time, by very, very militant movements, the Black power movement. I’ve been called all kinds of things — like an Uncle Tom — simply because I’m successful, simply because I’ve worked my way out of Flint, Michigan

Terry Crews stirred controversy online with a tweet he posted on Sunday (June 7) night, which read, "Defeating White supremacy without White people creates Black supremacy. Equality is the truth. Like it or not, we are all in this together."

Godfrey reacted to Terry, writing, "I love you as a friend Brother Terry. But I disagree with you 100 %. No such thing as Black Supremacy. That is a tactic that Racist whites use to counteract our rebellion to their horrific treatment of us. It's called Gaslighting. Black pride isn't anti-white."

Godfrey also responded to a Twitter user about Black pride, writing, "Wrong. Black pride is about our love for our culture because WHITE SUPREMACIST have trampled on us for so goddam long. Pro black doe not mean anti white. But Pro white definitely means anti black. We have proof. It's called footage."
