Protests for George Floyd went down in Seattle, and things could be seen getting hectic when police in a park area began to advance on protestors. While in the crowd to speak on the protests, MSNBC reporter Jo Ling Kent was struck hard by what looked to be fireworks.

The incident was captured on camera and went down in the Capitol Hill section of Seattle. Before being hit with the firework, tear gas smoke was seen everywhere behind Kent, who was trying to give a play-by-play of what was happening in the park. After Kent was hit, anchor Brian Williams can be heard saying that MSNBC has provided security detail for “all of our correspondents” on-site. Take a look above.
