According to reports, two hairstylists in Missouri who tested positive for coronavirus have potentially exposed at least 140 people to COVID-19.

The local health department in Missouri is saying the coronavirus exposure went down at the Great Clips hair salon in Springfield, Missouri. News surfaced at first, noting that several workers in the salon, along with 84 clients may have been exposed to COVID-19 after a hairstylist tested positive. This past Saturday, it was revealed that another hairstylist tested positive and potentially exposed 56 clients.

The Springfield-Green County Health Department noted the stylists and their clients were reportedly wearing face masks, and that everyone who may have been exposed to the virus would be traced and tested. Health Department director Clay Goddard said, “I'm going to be honest with you. We can't have many more of these. We can't make this a regular habit or our capability as a community will be strained, and we will have to re-evaluate what things look like going forward."

News of the coronavirus cases in Missouri comes after officials in the city announced their plan to ease up on social distancing requirements.
