The spread of coronavirus has found the Trump administration as well as scientists trying to find answers in combatting the situation. However, it seems the Trump administration has been focusing on who’s responsible for COVID-19, as White House aide Peter Navarro recently claimed that China used travelers to “seed” coronavirus.
While on ABC News’ ‘This Week,’ Navarro said, “ The virus was spawned in Wuhan province, patient zero was in November. The Chinese, behind the shield of the World Health Organization, for two months hid the virus from the world and then sent hundreds of thousands of Chinese on aircraft to Milan, New York and around the world to seed that.”
Despite the claim made by Navarro, researchers at New York University reported that the spread of coronavirus in New York City stems from infected patients who came from European countries like the U.K., Austria, the Netherlands, and France.
As of now, 316,927 deaths due to coronavirus have been reported, and 79,552 cases were reported as of May 17. Watch above.
