Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas took to Instagram to share a detailed store on how he won $300,000 playing the lottery, noting his luck came from a man who was asking for spare change at the gas station he attempted to stop at briefly before completely running out of fuel.

Arenas was trying to get to his regular gas station to play his lotto numbers before they closed, which he explained to the man asking for change. Arenas only had $10 bucks on him and noted he was going to give the man $5 and then use the other $5 to get to his real gas station. The man told Arenas “u won't make it on $5 so KEEP the $10 and after u WIN hook me up with $20! I said are u sure he said yes 💯 I know ur gonna win💯.”

Arenas went on to say that he missed the gas station, but got a “scammer type” of text the next day saying he won $300,000. When he verified who was behind the text, it was the owner of the gas station he usually goes to. Because he won, Arenas went back to the new gas station, found the panhandler, and hooked him up with money because of his prediction. Take a look above.
