Bodycam footage has been released from Trick Daddy's January 2019 arrest, which shows officers asking the Miami rapper to step out of his vehicle, as they claim they were called because the rapper was driving erratically. Trick Daddy admitted that he had been drinking "about two to three hours" before driving, but he refused to take a sobriety test.
Police then conducted a search of Trick Daddy's vehicle and himself, where they found some loose bills. While counting the cash, white powder could be seen falling out of one of the bills, which Trick Daddy declined to acknowledge when asked about the substance. He was later charged with driving under the influence and cocaine possession. Trick Daddy was booked and released the same day on $6,000 bond.
After his mugshot was released, it went viral due to Trick Daddy's disheveled appearance, which he addressed on social media. He wrote, "Let me get this right .. you lie on me .. make fun of the fact that I Have lupus ... and all this just for likes. Thank god [I’m] strong .. everything is funny until it hits close to home .. my feelings don’t hurt easily I’m too worried about waking up tomorrow."
