The NFL is taking a step forward in their handling of marijuana as information surfaced on Thursday of the league proposing to end marijuana-related suspensions and limit the testing window for THC to only two weeks. The move would greatly reduce the number of players penalized for positive testing especially considering the original testing window was open for a four-month period.

If the deal is ratified the NFL will be on the path of Major League Baseball who recently removed cannabis from their list of banned substances.
