According to TMZ, Atlanta District Attorney Paul Howard is looking into claims that legendary entertainer James Brown was murdered. Jacque Hollander, who knew Brown, handed over paperwork that she says backs up her claims that Brown was murdered, and if true, Howard is open to launching a full-scale death investigation.

Inside the paperwork Hollander provided is a list of witnesses and printed out text messages that back up her claims. She also revealed how she obtained possession of the bin the paperwork was stored inside.

Brown died at 73 at a hospital in Atlanta on December 25, 2006. His cause of death was listed as a heart attack and fluid on the lungs. Dr. Marvin Crawford, who signed Brown's death certificate, raised questions about his death. He stated in a 2017 interview with CNN, "He changed too fast. He was a patient I would never have predicted would have coded. ... But he died that night, and I did raise that question: What went wrong in that room?"
