Update 02/01/2020 5:43pm:

A video previously surfaced of rapper Skinnyfromthe9 getting jumped by a large group of men, with the rapper ducking for cover on the ground. Along with that, one of the men in the video can be heard telling the rapper to take his chain off. Now, the rapper has taken to IG to reveal that he was set up by someone he thought was a friend.

The rapper said “I just wanna let everyone know it didn’t go down the way y’all see. I was set up by someone I thought I could trust, a close friend. He told me to come to his birthday party and I did. I just came by myself and one of my friends. When I got there, there was like 20 dudes waiting for me outside, but I hadn't picked up on it yet. I got up out the car, and that's when 20 guys, two times bigger than me, just all attacked me.” The rapper noted that his jewelry was taken in the incident.

Video recently surfaced of New Jersey rapper Skinnyfromthe9 being kicked and pushed to the ground by a group of guys demanding that he take off his chain. It's unclear from the video if the men took the chains or anything else from Skinnyfromthe9.

This comes after Skinnyfromthe9 and YBN Almighty Jay grabbed headlines after a video surfaced of what appeared to be YBN Almighty Jay robbing the "Love Blast" rapper. Skinnyfromthe9 later uploaded a video and seemingly admitted that the robbery was fake.  The case was later dropped by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office because the "the victim wasn't available."
