Dave Chappelle showed support for Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang this week by joining him to speak to the media.
When speaking about why he's supporting Yang, Chappelle explained, "You know you hear people talk about 'Make America Great Again,'" he said. "How about Make America Feel Better Again? And I think his platform handles a lot of the emotional content of what being an American is like."
Chappelle went on to say, "I like the idea of giving people choices, putting money in their hands and giving them the choice. They would consider things that aren’t even an option to consider now. And that part of his platform I found incredibly exciting."
Chappelle will campaign with Yang in Iowa and South Carolina. He will be in Columbia, SC, on Wednesday and Thursday for back to back comedy shows, with all proceeds benefitting Yang’s campaign.
