NBA players from around the league have taken the step to informally retire Kobe Bryant's #8 and #24 jersey numbers. The Brooklyn Nets' guard Spencer Dinwiddie changed his number from #8 to #26 followed by the Orlando Magic's Terrence Ross moving from #8 to #31. These changes come on the heels of Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, announcing that his organization would be retiring #24 in honor of the late Kobe Bryant. Cuban said in a statement yesterday, "Kobe's legacy transcends basketball, and our organization has decided that the number 24 will never again be worn by a Dallas Maverick."
