Fashion brand Come de Garcons recently showed a new menswear collection during Paris Fashion Week, and was called out for what many is saying was cultural appropriation.

The brand had white models in braided wigs walk down the runway with the new menswear collection on, which caused an uproar with many. As a result, the brand issued an apology saying “The inspiration for the headpieces for Comme des Garçons menswear FW’20 show was the look of an Egyptian prince. It was never ever our intention to disrespect or hurt anyone – we deeply and sincerely apologize for any offense it has caused.”
