Original 01/17/2020 4:26pm:

Pop Smoke was arrested on Friday (January 17) morning for a federal charge of interstate transport of a stolen vehicle. He is accused of "knowingly and intentionally" transporting a 2019 Rolls-Royce Wraith from California to New York "on or about and between" Nov. 5 and Dec. 3 of 2019.

TMZ reports that Pop Smoke met the owner of the Rolls-Royce in November at an L.A. recording studio, and they had a verbal agreement for Pop Smoke to use the car in a music video. In exchange, the Rolls Royce owner was going to get VIP treatment at one of Pop Smoke's upcoming shows.

However, Pop Smoke didn't return the car the following day as he agreed, and the owner reported the car as stolen when he tracked the car to Arizona via GPS. Pop Smoke was arrested at JFK after returning from Paris Fashion Week and he is expected to be arraigned this afternoon.
