DaBaby recently couldn’t get to a show in Charlotte, North Carolina because of an issue he had with a flight following his SNL performance. To make up for that, the rapper came back on another date to perform in front of the sold-out crowd. However, that show did not go without a hiccup, as the rapper allegedly was being harassed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police unlawfully while he was trying to do this thing for the show.

DaBaby took to IG to address the situation while calling out the police, saying “Dirty a** police department try to take me to jail every time I got a show in the city.” He continued “While I'm on the stage doin this, CMPD was outside doin this. Unlawfully shinning multiple flash lights in my car looking for reasons to support an illegal search by the time I get off stage. Notice their body language when they realized someone caught them doing what they were doing.” The video shows the cops walking off once they realized they were being filmed.

The rapper said police arrested him after his performance and cited him for marijuana possession. He said they told him “ "Okay you free to go we 'bout to drop you off around the corner. "[They] gave me a citation. They say I resisted arrest.” The rapper noted “What I did, seeing that they were unlawfully searching my car while I was on stage" was to have a camera stashed on him to catch the whole ordeal. DaBaby noted that he will be sharing all the information along with the full video on Instagram on Tuesday.
