The Miami Heat have suspended Dion Waiters for six after he called out sick and later posted photos to Instagram of him hanging out on a boat. Waiters was officially suspended for "failure to adhere to team policies, violation of team rules and continued insubordination."

Insiders say Dion has committed "more than a half dozen team violations" this season, including refusing to participate in team weigh-ins and going on a social media tirade against coach Erik Spoelstra. He also was reprimanded from the team and suspended for 10 games after eating a THC gummy on the team plane, which was found out when he was suffering from a panic attack from the edible.

While the Heat is interested in getting Dion off the team, an unnamed general manager told Heavy's Sean Deveney, "No one was trying to take him on. He has had just kind of junk attached to him just about his whole career."
