Carmelo Anthony is making the most out of his opportunity with the Portland Trailblazers by showing the rest of the league that he remains an impact player. He just signed with the Blazers two weeks ago but has already made his presence felt. On Monday, the NBA named Melo the Western Conference Player of the Week after helping Portland to a 3-0 record over the past week by chipping in 22.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.

This is the first time since 2014 as a member of the New York Knicks that Carmelo has gotten the player of the week distinction.
