Harvey Weinstein has run into some trouble with his sexual assault case, as a New York judge reportedly upheld charges that could put the disgraced film director in prison for life.

The situation in question involves actress Anabella Sciorra, who claims Weinstein raped her in 1993 or 1994. ‘The Sopranos’ actress claims that Weinstein forced himself inside her Manhattan apartment, threw her on the bed and raped her after she starred in a film for his movie studio.

Weinstein’s lawyers are reportedly arguing against Sciorra’s allegation, but a judge ruled that prosecutors can use Sciorra’s allegation to show a pattern of allegedly predatory behavior. If convicted, Weinstein will be facing life in prison. His trial will begin on January 6, 2020.
