A man in Otay Mesa, CA fatally shot a Church's Chicken employee and wounded two others after being turned away for trying to use a counterfeit $100 bill. The shooting was the result of a dispute between the man and the employees after the suspect attempted to pay for his order with the fake bill. Police are still searching for the suspect. 

San Diego local NBC affiliate reached out to Church's Chicken for comment and received the following statement: 

"We are saddened and shocked by this violence against our employees and are committed to working with the authorities to ensure the perpetrator is brought to justice. In the meantime, our sole focus is on supporting and comforting the victims, their families and our extended Church's family."
