Update 11/04/2019 1:18pm:

After being hit with a lawsuit by Nike for allegedly stealing designs from the sneaker company, Skechers issued a statement saying Nike was bullying them. Now, Nike has fired back with their own response in the form of another lawsuit.

In the new lawsuit filed by Nike, they claim Skechers infringed on the patent for the Air unit, which is usually found on Air Max sneakers from the popular brand. Nike is currently requesting that Skechers be banned from importing and selling shoes that infringe on the company’s designs in the United States. Along with that, Nike is asking that Skechers cover attorney fees and damages.

It seems Nike isn’t here for Sketchers and the latest sneakers designs they’ve put out, as Nike has filed a lawsuit against Skechers for allegedly biting their style.

Nike filed suit against Skechers for reportedly copying designs of the Air Max 270 and VaporMax for the Skech-Air Atlas, Skech-Air Stratus, and Skech-Air Blast sneakers.

In the suit, Nike noted they want Skechers to pay the total profit they made from ripping off their designs and also asked for the brand to stop selling the copycat designs of their sneakers. Since having the suit filed against them, Skechers has pulled one of the sneakers from their website.
