Florida rapper Lil Dell, real name Cordellius Lashawn Dyess, was arrested on Tuesday (October 22), after being on the run following a Memorial Day weekend homicide that he was tied to.

The shooting killed 20-year-old Elizabeth Harris, who was caught in the gunfire of two rival gangs while leaving a concert. The intended target was shot in the back but survived. Police say the Memorial Day shooting happened following a 2017 fight, which sparked 22 additional shootings in the Pensacola area.

Following Lil Dell's arrest, Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren congratulated his deputies via Facebook. Dyess is the fourth suspect arrested in the homicide, which took place at the Platinum Club nightclub in Pensacola. 19-year-old Dante Walker, 18-year-old Tequan Warren, and 17-year-old Markesia James were arrested in late August.

Lil Dell, along with Warren and James, were indicted in September on charges of first-degree felony murder, attempted second-degree murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Walker is charged with accessory to murder.
