Patrick Mahomes has taken the NFL by storm since taking over the quarterback position for the Kansas City Chiefs just a year ago. In his first year as a starter, Mahomes threw for over 5,000 yards and secured the NFL MVP award.

This year, Mahomes was looking to do much of the same but that back-to-back MVP campaign may have been cut short after Mahomes suffered a dislocated kneecap.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid called the questionable QB sneak despite Mahomes having already sustained an apparent ankle injury. Prior to being helped off the field, Kansas City training staff had to pop Mahomes kneecap back in place.

Good news for Chiefs fans, Mahomes suffered no broken bones. An MRI will be performed in the coming days to determine whether he sustained any ligament damage.
