Update 10/13/2019 2:42pm:

Casanova 2x was one of the select artists that the NYPD reportedly asked Rolling Loud to remove during the New York iteration of the festival due to “public safety concerns.” Since then, Casanova has addressed the situation via Instagram.

Casanova said “I JUST WANNA LIVE. My last felony conviction was 2007. I lost everything I ever loved and I’m STILL losing. So much so that “they” won’t allow me to perform at Rolling Loud NYC on Sunday. It’s unfair and unfortunate that my past, which I’ve dealt with legally and personally, continues to stigmatize me and my career as a recording artist.”

He continued, saying “I’m at war with my past and the scars that they still leave on me everyday. I will continue to fight against biases and advocate for those facing this same issue. I’ll do what do what I plan to make it up to y’all.” Take a look above.

New York City is hosting the Rolling Loud festival this weekend, and the festival went out of their way to feature many artists from the city. However, the NYPD reportedly sent a letter to the festival asking that certain artists be removed from the bill due to “public safety concerns.”

In the letter issued by NYPD, the police said “The above listed performers have been affiliated with recent acts of violence citywide. The New York City Police Department believes if these individuals are allowed to perform, there will be a higher risk of violence.” The acts named in the letter include 22GZ, Casanova 2X, Don Q, Pop Smoke, and Sheff G.
