Quality Control CEOs Coach K and Pee Thomas sat down alongside Lil Yachty to speak about building up their highly successful label. Coach K also shared some advice to new artists wanting to go the independent route and the expenses that come along with it.
Around the 37:00 mark, Coach K stated, "Everything costs money, it’s the way of life. When you sign an artist, [they’re like], ‘so, when am I going to radio?' To take a record that y’all see on the radio become Number One, that’s $200,000."
