A viral video from Blake Academy in Polk County, Fl shows a group of white students attacking a black classmate in what appears to be the boys' locker room. The teenage attacker was arrested after the incident and news just broke that he was also charged with misdemeanor simple battery in addition to a 10-day school suspension.
The school district will continue investigating the incident, particularly inquiring the whereabouts of the physical education teacher whose office is near where the altercation took place. The superintendent didn't say the attack was motivated by race but stressed "It shouldn’t happen to any kid. No kid should come to school and that happen to them."
