Donald Trump took to Twitter to speak about criminal justice reform and he claimed that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen didn't acknowledge him passing the First Step Act in 2018, which seeks to reduce recidivism. Trump specifically criticized Legend appearing in an MSNBC town hall-style segment about the criminal justice system, which Legend says could still use some work.

Trump said that Obama "couldn't come close" to getting laws passed for criminal justice reform. He added that "guys like boring musician @johnlegend, and his filthy-mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is - but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed."

Legend responded by tweeting, "Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody--ANYBODY--will praise you. Melania, please praise this man. He needs you. Your country needs you, Melania."

Legend's wife Chrissy took things a little further with a tweet that read, "lol what a p*ssy ass b*tch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president," adding, "The absolute best part of his tweet is I literally didn't speak in the special, nor was I mentioned. I'm cackling at the pointless addition of me because he cannot not be a b*tch."
