Update 09/07/2019 11:06am:

The Antonio Brown saga just took a major turn, as the football player took to Instagram to express how unhappy he is with his current team situation. Via an Instagram post, AB said “I have worked my whole life to prove that the system is blind to see talent like mines. Now that everyone sees it, they want me to conform to that same system that has failed me all those years. 'I’m not mad at anyone. I’m just asking for the freedom to prove them all wrong.' Release me @raiders #NOMore #theyputblindersonahorseforareason #NoMoreFake.” Take a look above.

Update 09/06/2019 7:06pm:

The Oakland Raiders were reportedly poised to suspend Antonio Brown after he physically threatened their general manager Mike Mayock. However, things have apparently been smoothed out after AB apologized to the team and GM on Friday.

Brown got in front of the team as the Raiders' captains stood with him and delivered "an emotional apology." AB said that the team treated him like "a family member" after his apology. The apology obviously worked since head coach Jon Gruden said after practice on Friday that AB will be playing in Monday's season opener against the Denver Broncos.

The Raiders' threat of a suspension leading into Week 1 could have potentially negated Brown's $30 million signing bonus. But Gruden told reporters, "Antonio's back today. We're really excited about that. Ready to move on. He's had a lot of time to think about things and we're happy to have him back."

According to various reports, the Raiders are planning to suspend Antonio Brown after he allegedly threatened to hit GM Mike Mayok in the face. Per Vic Tafur of The Athletic reported that Brown had to be "held back by a couple of teammates" when confronting Mayock.

Raiders head coach Jon Gruden told the media, "If you want to ask about the Raiders, I've been talking about the same guy every day. If you want to ask about the Raiders, I've been talking about the same guy every day."

Mayok recently wrote a letter to Brown after his recent fine for missing practice, telling him that he was acting in a way that would qualify as "conduct detrimental to the team." This means the Raiders could use language in their team policy and in the collective bargaining agreement to take action against Brown. Brown responded by posting the fine letter on social media.

More details to come.
