The Lion King is the highest-grossing animated film in the world, bringing in a whopping $1.335 billion at the worldwide box office since its release last month. The Jon Favreau-directed film surpassed Frozen's previous record of $1.277 billion.

Domestically, the film is the third highest-grossing animated film, generating $473.1 million. The Incredibles 2 took the top spot with $608.5 million, followed by Finding Dory with $486.2 million. The Lion King is currently in its fourth week and is likely to enter into the list of top-earning movies of all time.
