SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is raising more than a few eyebrows with his latest creation. Dubbed the Neuralink, Musk proposes the plan for a Bluetooth-enabled brain implant that connects with a person's smartphone. Musk also says the chip could enable telepathy as well as improve the motor functions of those with injuries.

The maximum of 10 units can be implanted in the brain which will allow the user to connect to an app on the iPhone. According to Musk, the procedure will be performed by a surgeon-controlled robot that will drill a small 2-millimeter hole in the skull for insertion. Musk added, "The interface to the chip is wireless, so you have no wires poking out of your head. That's very important." Neuralink is expecting trial runs for the implant to begin in late 2020.
