Jensel "Ish" Butler was the first defendant in the 6ix9ine racketeering case to be sentenced, and he was handed a sentence of 60 months on Thursday (July 18) morning. His sentence was the lowest that could be legally imposed, and the judge felt it was "just and reasonable."

Butler admitted to his role as a driver in a 2018 armed robbery in the building where ThisIs50 is located. Items taken in the robbery were later found in an apartment that Tekashi was renting. Assistant United States Attorney Michael D. Longyear said Butler was also present at Nine Trey-related violent incidents, including a shooting at the Adrien Broner fight at the Barclays Center in 2018.

When given the chance to speak, Butler was emotional while telling the court, "I knew my actions and being around the people I was around could cause harm to people, and I deeply apologize." He also addressed his children, stating, "When I serve my time, I am going to make a difference in their lives. I apologize for everything."

Tekashi's former manager, Kifano "Shotti" Jordan ook a time-served plea deal on Monday  (July 15) for his role in an altercation at Philippe’s restaurant in Manhattan where a shot was fired.

6ix9ine's former bodyguard Faheem "Crippy" Walter is the next defendant to be sentenced on August 14.
