Update 07/14/2019 11:21am:

Willie D recently sat down with VladTV to speak on a variety of topics, including the passing of his former Geto Boys group member Bushwick Bill. Now, the family of Bushwick Bill has responded to what Willie D said in the interview via the late rapper’s Instagram page.

The now-deleted post on Instagram said “Once again, in a desperate attempt to gain publicity, the very hungry @williedlive has teamed up with fake news source @vladtv . They’ve published a series of misleading videos in a malicious attempt to slander our father, who is no longer here to defend himself. It’s sad and pathetic for Willie D to stoop this low, because he’s been irrelevant to our dad for so long. He never volunteered or fabricated information on Will, nor would he start a smear campaign against his former band mate. Dad was focused on his own work, and his own life. Instead of focusing on his political campaign, Will would rather disrespect our dad, our family, and the legacy of Geto Boys in an effort to gain relevance.

They continued on saying “He is showing the true nature of his character through his distasteful actions. Vlad TV was the only petty media Will could run to with fake news, because he can’t get any credible news. He just creates scandal, twists words, & publishes fake news for likes. That’s why our dad disliked Vlad and refused to interview with him. Our dad wasn’t perfect, but he was all about honesty and transparency - so there are no secrets or scandals to be dug up. We hope you all will rise above their agenda and continue to support our dad’s legacy and messages of positivity.”
