After years of legal battles to halt the auctioning of an intimate letter penned by Tupac to Madonna, the correspondence is set to go up for auction on July 17, according to TMZ. The letter was written while Tupac was incarcerated and in the letter, the rapper-actor broke off his relationship with Madonna, citing her whiteness as a factor in the decision.
The auction will be held online through the memorabilia company, Gotta Have Rock & Roll, with bids starting at $100,000. The auctioneers believe that this piece could go for as much as $300,000 when the gavel drops.
