Update 07/09/2019 4:03pm:

According to a report from TMZ, the felony gun charge that Offset caught while in Georgia during a traffic stop have been dropped. Prosecutors on the case dropped the charges, but only at the request of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The request was acknowledged because the feds are reportedly conducting a larger investigation. This investigation is reportedly the only reason Offset was pulled over in the first place. Along with that, it was noted in court documents that if Offset was to be taken to trial for gun possession by county prosecutors, it “would alert other potential future parties to the investigation and evidence that may support federal charges against said parties."

In 2018, Offset was arrested last summer while he was in Georgia, which reportedly stemmed from a traffic stop over an improper lane change. Now, news has surfaced noting prosecutors filed three charges against Offset, one of which include felony gun possession.

According to the Clayton County District Attorney, the rapper is facing misdemeanor charges for the improper lane change and marijuana possession. However, they are pushing for a felony gun possession charge. Offset noted that he is not guilty and will be in court for the matter in May.
